Having problems with Awakened PoE Trade? Follow this guide to diagnose and fix common issues.

General Troubleshooting Steps

Before diving into specific issues, try these general steps:

  1. Check the requirements - Make sure PoE is running in Windowed Fullscreen or Windowed mode (not exclusive Fullscreen).
  2. Check the logs - Go to Settings → Debug tab to view error logs.
  3. Update GPU drivers - If using Vulkan renderer, outdated drivers can cause issues. Try DirectX11/12 as well.
  4. Reset app data - Delete %appdata%\awakened-poe-trade (backup apt-data folder first).
  5. Close conflicting apps - Other overlays or capture software may interfere. Close them one by one to identify conflicts.
  6. Restart the app - Make sure to fully quit (not just minimize) before restarting.

Common Issues

🔥Nothing happens when I try to price check
  • Verify PoE is in Windowed Fullscreen or Windowed mode
  • If PoE is running as Administrator, also run Awakened PoE Trade as Administrator
  • GeForce Experience may reset display mode - check after updates
  • Try restarting both PoE and Awakened PoE Trade
🔥There are no stats to select when price checking
  • Make sure your PoE game language matches the app setting (English or Russian)
  • Some items (like currency or fragments) don't have selectable stats
  • The item might not be recognized - check if it's a newly added item type
  • Try updating to the latest version of Awakened PoE Trade
Failed to load leagues
  • Check your internet connection
  • The PoE API might be temporarily down - try again later
  • Your firewall or antivirus might be blocking the connection
  • Try using a VPN if you're in a region with restricted access
Sends a whisper when doing price-check

This can happen if your chat is open when you price check. Make sure to close the chat (press Escape or Enter without typing) before pressing the price check hotkey. The app simulates Ctrl+C which copies item text, but if chat is open, it might paste into chat instead.

Can't open settings via tray icon when game is active

Use the in-game overlay instead. Press Shift + Space while in Path of Exile to open the overlay, then click the settings (cog) icon.

Platform-Specific Issues

Windows

Windows Defender SmartScreen warning

The app is unsigned. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.

Administrator mode issues

If PoE runs as admin, the overlay won't work unless Awakened PoE Trade also runs as admin.

Linux

Tray icon not shown

Some desktop environments don't support the tray icon. Use the overlay (Shift+Space) to access settings.

⚠️
Screen is black

This may be a GPU driver issue. Try running with --disable-gpu flag.

macOS

⚠️
App can't be opened (unidentified developer)

Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General, and click "Open Anyway" for the blocked app. Apple's guide
